Life coaching combines knowledge, methods, and techniques drawn upon many diverse disciplines such as the cognitive -behavioral approach, Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), transactional analysis (TA) etc., with the aim of providing people with valuable “tools” and skills to help them gain a better insight into themselves (self-knowledge), feel stronger, get motivated, overcome their obstacles to success and harvest their abilities.
Life coaching is based on the dialectical method where, by asking the right questions, the client is helped to reflect on the issue(s) at hand and come up with his/her own solutions and answers. In addition, a life coach acts as your personal supporter and a trusted ally; a person who will be next to you, to whom you can talk openly and be listened with interest and care, your sounding board helping you gain a different perspective of the situation. Life coaching is not a form of psychological therapy of any kind-it is aimed at healthy individuals facing everyday challenges; it is a “creative partnership” with you, focused on your personal success and fulfillment!
